The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australia wide system of providing individualised planning, funding and support to people living with disability, their families and carers. It’s a lifetime approach to the delivery of support services, that will change over time with your individual circumstances.

On 12 December 2017, the Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments agreed that WA will join the nationally delivered National Disability Insurance Scheme. This announcement replaces the previous agreement for Western Australia to run its own WA NDIS.The NDIS is managed by the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency).

There is now more freedom and choice in selecting who you feel is best placed to support you in living the life you choose. The NDIS will take some time to roll out across the state. It’s important that you know when the NDIS will roll out in your area so that you are prepared and ready to develop your plan.
